What we collect, and why

Second Act is the controller for the data you submit on this page. We collect your email address, which of the two situations above applies to you, your city, and your age range. Nothing else.

• Why: to tell you when Second Act opens near you, and to understand how much demand exists in each situation and age range before we build anything.
• Lawful basis: your consent, given freely by checking the box above, under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and doing so will not affect anything else.
• How long we keep it: for 12 months from the date you submit this form, or until Second Act opens and you are contacted, whichever comes first — after that, your row is deleted.
• How to have it deleted sooner: email from the address you signed up with and ask us to remove it. We will confirm once it is done.
• Your other rights: you can also ask to see, correct, or restrict what we hold about you, and you can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at any time.

Your email address is never sent to our analytics tool. Only your situation, city, age range, and which headline you saw are recorded there, and only as generic categories — never as free text tied back to you by name.
